Category:Installing Providence

From CollectiveAccess Documentation
Jump to: navigation, search

Creating a custom CollectiveAccess implementation starts with the installation profile, a file that defines lists, fields, user interfaces, relationship types and more for a Providence setup. Most users tailor an out-of-the-box standard, rather than starting a profile from scratch. The documentation in this category explains the components of the profile model and syntax. It is possible to configure a profile using graphical tools (after installing a standard profile) but it is more time consuming than working with the XML file (see Configuration Through the User Interface). Most implementations also require additional customization of all or some of the main configuration files.
