Once your profile has been completed and installed and your system-wide preferences have been configured, you’re ready to begin interacting with the software primarily through the graphical user interface. The back-end Administration menu is your one stop shop for controlling your cataloging tools. With the administration menu you are able to manage:

  • General system-wide preferences including unit of measure, locales, duplication settings, media handling for downloads, and more
  • Access control including logins, restrictions, and project teams
  • Metadata displays for search and browse results and summary formatting
  • Record sets
  • Advanced search tools
  • User generated content
  • System and metadata lists and vocabularies
  • Metadata elements, relationship types and user interfaces
  • Search and Event logs

Several of these controls are explained in more detail below.
